Weekly Update: 25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 24 lbs (So last week I was up a few lbs but didn’t note it. Just so you know, this weight thing is really stressing me out so you might see me post this less and just give an update once a month. I know I should not stress but it is still a difficult aspect of this pregnancy thing for me.)

Maternity clothes: I will be on the lookout for some nice dresses for my maternity pics and showers

Stretch marks: Nothing new

Sleep: I am still doing fine, I was a night owl this week while I had visitors here

Best moment this week: Mom and Ally came and we got A LOT done on Pumpkins nursery and had a successful trip to Ikea to buy some stuff. I got his side table in the scratch and dent section for 30% off.

Movement: Some days he is lazier than others but he is still pretty wiggly

Food cravings: Still loving sweets. I have been into iced coffee that we make at home so I have been doing decaf during the week. It is more coffee flavored chocolate milk.

Food aversions: Some things with strong smells bother me

Gender: Me and my men

Labor Signs: No way in heck

Belly Button in or out? It is stagnant.

What I miss: I am a belly sleeper but with my back being so sore all the time, my back misses being able to lay flat on it.

What I am looking forward to: Going to Knoxville for the 4th of July this weekend and seeing family. On the baby side, I am excited to get the nursery going.

Weekly Wisdom: Lots of advice on registry items and what all really needs to be accomplished before Pumpkin arrives.

Milestones: We are registered! After doing our wedding registery, I was terrified of this since we got pregnant but it was not so bad.

Measurements: Chest- same, Waist- -.75”, Hips- -.25”, Circumference- +.25”

Nursery Progress Update

We made 8 pillows, 8 fabric birds, and the valances. We cut out and pinned the blanket and mom was going to finish it when she got home.

I cut up the excess blanket fabric to make into two additional pillows and a bird. I am going to work on making the letters to spell out his name over his crib and some of the other wall decor.

Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Weekly Update: 24 weeks

I promise that there is a noticeable change from week to week in these view from the top pictures.

How far along: 24 weeks (Viability day, yay!)

Total weight gain/loss: holding steady at 20 lbs this week

Maternity clothes: I discovered that some maternity dresses that I bought months ago, I now fill out

Stretch marks: Same old, same old

Sleep: If I am super tired, I sleep great

Best moment this week: I had an OB appointment last Wednesday and everything is still checking out good. Pumpkin was a good boy this time and cooperated so we could hear his heartbeat and only kicked the Doppler once. The only downside is she confirmed my suspicions that my uterus is as high as it is, which is normal, I just have a short torso. This makes me nervous because that only means that we grow out or he goes up in my ribs soon.

Movement: We kept feeling him push out around my belly button and I am starting to feel things higher like he is stretching.

Food cravings: I am hating food but look forward to dessert every day.

Food aversions: I really just do not want food lately. Deciding what to eat is just a hassle.

Gender: Baby boy

Labor Signs: Goodness no

Belly Button in or out? I am pretty sure it will never pop.

What I miss: I miss not worrying about every twinge or lack of movement for 5 minutes.

What I am looking forward to: My mom and Ally are coming this week so I am super excited to see them and getting a lot done for the nursery.

Weekly Wisdom: I am coming to see more and more reasons how I am so lucky to have Ben as my husband and Pumpkins daddy (and not because it was just Fathers Day).

Milestones: 24 weeks is viability day, which means that God forbid something happen, Pumpkin could possibly survive if born now. It is something I definitely do not want to deal with, but it is just good to know we have made it this far.

Measurements: Chest- +.25”, Waist- +.5”, Hips- -.75”, Circumference- +.25”

I hope all the fathers out there had a wonderful Fathers Day yesterday. Pumpkin and I made Ben pancakes and gave Ben the Star Wars lunchbox I had hidden in my closet for 6 months and a card that we (I) made.

As I mentioned above, my mom and my cousin Ally are coming to visit me this week and we are going to be working on some of the nursery stuff. By this time next week most of the things you see will below will be turned into pillows, picture frames, wall decor, and a blanket. Wish us luck that we get it all done!

Weekly Update: 23 weeks

How far along: 23 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 20 lbs (not happy with this number, but I swear it is all baby)

Maternity clothes: Belly bands and dresses

Stretch marks: Now the tanned ones are peeling from being sunburned

Sleep: Eh….it is not terrible but I wish I could sleep on my back or my belly more.

Best moment this week: We got all the fabric for his room and a few other projects purchased. I am excited to get working on them soon.

Movement: So I have noted that it is mostly at night time. Well this week, he moved some but it was not a ton. Then this weekend he moved like crazy. I realized that it seems to coincide with times that Ben is around. I wonder if he is more active because he hears Ben’s voice or because we are both talking more to each other.

Food cravings: All I wanted were sweets this week.

Food aversions: I had really bad heartburn for a few days so nothing sounded good.

Gender: Oh boy!

Labor Signs: No freaking way!

Belly Button in or out? Mine is so far back and still is, I am not sure it will ever pop out. However, it is making a very awkward looking flat spot on my bump.

What I miss: Being comfortable in my own body. I am starting to be uncomfortable all the time (and I know I still have 4 months to go). I am just having lots of abdominal pressure and a pinching pain in my hips.

What I am looking forward to: My parents are coming within the next month and helping us get the nursery started.

Weekly Wisdom: Assurance from other pregnant ladies that my weight is normal.

Milestones: Nothing major this week.

Measurements: Chest- -.25”, Waist- +.5”, Hips- +.25”, Circumference- I will start posting the updates next week
