Corn Maze 2014

I am playing catch up from the last month so I am just now getting to our trip to the corn maze.

This was just two days after we got back from Disney and my kids and the Campbell girls already missed each other. These three girls are so cute together. I just mention Ruby and Isla and Scarlett lights up and as soon as they see her, the girls squeal, "Baby Scarlett".

All 5 kids on the hay couch. This seriously took 5 minutes of wrangling to make this happen.

Miller's favorite part- the corn box.

That day was just perfect fall weather, so we decided to break out our fire pit and the smores. The kids loved them! It was the perfect day.

Miller pulled up his chair and sat by the fire. My favorite part of this are the crossed ankles.

I seriously loved this whole day!

Halloween '13 recap

This is just a few pictures from Halloween.

Miller picked out this pattern. He kept calling it a ball because I think he was focusing on the circle around  the spider. Oh well!

Our friends came over and we took the kids trick or treating around our neighborhood. Of course Miller was not into sitting for a picture.

My two lumberjacks.

Miller could care less about the candy but still liked going to the door to get it. This is a horrible picture but I just love Miller and Isla peaking in this lady's house while they waited for her to answer the door.

I had to get a picture of Baby Girl in her costume.

It was a fun evening and even though Miller still did not totally get the whole thing, he was still lots more fun than he was last year. Halloween really is more fun with kids.

Baby Girl Maternity Pictures

When we took Miller's 2 year pictures, we also got some maternity pictures of me. I really wanted some photos that captured our family at this time. Since I had to be in the pictures, Heather and Ben had to take them. I had to direct Ben tons but it was a good lesson for him to learn to use my camera in case I need him to take pictures in the delivery room. By the way, if anyone is ever looking for a gift for me, I would like a clone of myself that can follow me around and take pictures for me so that I can be in them. Thanks!

This is more of a blooper picture. This is pretty much the reality of shooting with Miller. He is having a blast running around while Ben and I are exhausted and overwhelmed trying to wrangle him.

I hate the cars behind us but I love this picture of my baby and I.

He got in trouble with Daddy, so he came running to me for snuggles.

Another blooper. This looks like Ben and I are saying, "Are we sure we want another one?"

Ben was telling me to be serious and of course that meant I could not keep a straight face.

Miller's 2 Year Pictures

A couple of weeks ago we took a free afternoon and got some pictures of Miller for his 2 year pictures. I am in a lot of them so my friend Heather was the one behind the camera. I wanted to get some more of him playing in some leaves so Ben and I took them the next weekend. He is so difficult to work with but I really like what we ended up with. I think they capture Miller at this age really well.

Our Annual Cornmaze Excursion

For the past few years, we have headed out to the corn maze with the kids. Our first year of going to this specific farm, Miller was only two weeks old. We decided this year to do the dairy farm tour since Miller is into farms and animals. It was a long outing but we had so much fun.

This was his favorite thing, the corn box. I really want one! The corn is so much cleaner than sand. He would have played in there forever.

We pried him away from the corn box to try to get him to jump on the big pillow and he was not having it. We are such mean parents.

I was a little nervous how he would do in the corn maze because I knew that he would be down and walking by himself, plus we would have other kids. We went in with Steve, Heather, Isla and Ruby. We were told it takes about 20 minutes. With two toddlers walking on their own, it took us 18. I was so proud!!

He found himself a little spot to watch the milking demonstration and watched the whole thing. He just kept saying, "Cow, cow, cow", while everyone else was quiet.
