Christmas: Just the Beginning

I hate that I am just now getting to blog about Christmas, when it has been over for a week. That is just the way it goes.

Before we left home, we wanted to take some pictures with Miller and our Christmas tree. So we took down the fence that had been guarding it and let him go for it. He was surprisingly gentle and just seemed slightly interested in it.

We left for TN early Saturday morning and kept Miller in his pjs. My mom had gotten Miller a chair for Christmas, and since it was impossible to wrap, he got it a few days early. As soon as we walked in the door, he grabbed the remote and sat down in it. I promise that we did not prompt him to do this.

We were so fortunate that Ben's family traveled to Knoxville so we could all spend the holidays together. Miller got to meet his cousin James for the first time.

We went to eat with all the Trusty's on our first night there.

A few days before we left, we had a groupon to go see the Christmas lights at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. We had done it last year and loved it and thought Miller would get more out of it this year. After two hours in the car, when we finally got there, Miller saw the lights and was so excited. We get  to the front gates and they wouldn't let us in with the groupon. To say we were disappointed and angry, would be an under statement. My mom told me that they had some lights at a park in Knoxville so after dinner, we went to a park and saw some Christmas lights. It was freezing, but we were so glad to be able to do this fun Christmas activity after the kerfuffle the week before.
