Making a Ribbon Toy

My activity with Miller this week was making him a sensory toy- a ribbon turkey, as I like to think of it. I saw an activity on-line that mentioned letting your kid play with different ribbons. Honestly, I did not want to deal with keeping track of them so I decided to glue them together in what turned out looking like a turkey.

I had this whole drawer of ribbon anyways so it was easy enough.

I started with the thickest ribbon to be my base.

I glued all on one side and then did the other.

See all those fun textures for little fingers to explore.

I add a little piece of felt on the bottom to keep it all together.

Miller has grabbed it a few times but is not overly excited by it.
